It’s no secret hearing aids are an investment. It’s common for individuals to do their research on makes/models or ask their family/friends for their review on a specific product. However, it’s important to look BEYOND the device itself and ask these important questions at your hearing aid consultation!
Let’s break it down, from our perspective at Warman Hearing Clinic!
We absolutely implement real-ear measurements at every hearing aid fitting appointment. Real-ear measurements are gold-standard and ensure we are measuring the sound in the ear canal, to match specific prescriptive targets. We aren’t lazy, we will NEVER skip this step, and we’ll explain the process as we go, to ensure individuals are maximizing the benefits of amplification!
Our Audiologist holds a Clinical Doctorate of Audiology + Master of Science in D/HH Education. Kaelyn has been practicing audiology in Saskatchewan for almost over 8 years and has a passion to help individuals hear better, delivering best practices and ongoing support. Prior to considering amplification, it’s important to ensure you’ve have a comprehensive in-depth audiological assessment (i.e., a rushed free hearing test won’t cut it/provide adequate information about your hearing health and unique needs).
We spend time showing you how to care for your hearing aids between appointments. We give you the tools and supplies to feel confident in maintaining your devices between appointments.
Ongoing follow up care is crucial to success with hearing aids. Investing in amplification is not a one and done appointment. We believe in regular scheduled maintenance appointments, firmware updates, and re-assessments to keep individuals hearing their best!
We are a full-time clinic; open Monday to Friday, 9 am - 4 pm. We are flexible with appointment times, open through lunch, and believe in limiting wait times.
Hearing care is healthcare. Ask the questions, make an informed decision. Hearing aids are an investment; but beyond that investment, you want to ensure you’re choosing the right professional and clinic to support you!
